After a thorough examination, Dr. Afzal Sheikh assured him that he was completely healthy and had no such issue. The young man was so relieved and overjoyed that he immediately asked his family to speak with Dr. Afzal over the phone to share in the good news.Similarly, two young girls faced significant challenges later in life due to issues that could have been resolved during childhood—had there been awareness and timely intervention. Their parents, unaware of treatment options, struggled for years. Birth Defects Foundation – Free Skill-Based Social media Courses AnnouncementBy the end of this month, Birth Defects Foundation (BDF) will be opening admissions for new Social Media skill development courses. These courses are 100% free (excluding registration fees) for intersex individuals, transgender, Cleft Pallets persons, and their families.Participants from Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi, and Bahawalpur will be required to attend the classes in person at the BDF centers. Chairman of FTO Dr. Asif Jah met Ansar Javed, Chairman of Birth Defects Foundation and CEO of a media channel, during a session at the Chamber of Commerce. Ansar Javed has been friends with FTO Chairman Dr. Asif Jah since 1991 – a 34-year-long friendship.A session was held at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce in which Dr. Asif Jah was invited as the chief guest to speak about the policies of the FTO, the business community, and the facilities being provided to them. During this event, the two old friends met each other with great warmth and exchanged best wishes. Dr. Asif also introduced Ansar Javed to the President of the Lahore Chamber, Mr. Abu Zar Shah.Speaking at the session, Ansar Javed said:“I have known Dr. Asif Jah for 34 years and have witnessed many ups and downs in his life. Wherever he worked, he faced challenges, but due to his commitment to charity work and honest service in his departments, Allah helped him through various trials and blessed him with His mercy. Wherever Dr. Asif went, he didn’t just do a job – he created systems. God willing, he will do the same at the FTO – establishing a system that future successors will be compelled to follow.
