Overjoyed, the young man even asked Dr. Sheikh to speak with his family over the phone to explain everything.
In another case, two young women faced complications that could have been resolved earlier in life—had their parents been aware. Due to lack of awareness, their conditions became more complex with age. But the Birth Defects Foundation stepped in, educating the families on all aspects of the situation and empowering them to make informed decisions.
