Dr. Karen Sue of Care Foundation USA provides expert consultation to CAH patients at BDF Lahore, ensuring free, lifelong care for underprivileged families.
Dr. Karen Sue, the Medical Director of the Care Foundation USA, conducted a virtual OPD session from the head office of the Birth Defects Foundation (BDF) located in Lahore.
During this session, she adjusted the daily dosage of Hydrocortisone and Florinef for children suffering from CAH, a type of gender-related birth defect that requires lifelong medication.
The session was attended by BDF’s Chief Surgeon Professor Afzal Sheikh, Research Center Head Dr. Nasir Mahmood, and Chairman Ansar Javed. Dr. Karen Sue’s excellent advice and guidance had a profound impact on the management of birth defects, and the parents of the children expressed their heartfelt gratitude by giving her a big round of applause at the end of the meeting.
The BDF management is thankful to Care Foundation USA and Medical Director Dr. Karen Sue for utilizing her professional expertise to support the poor and deserving patients in Pakistan who cannot afford treatment. Regardless of their financial status, these patients are being treated completely free of cost.
God willing, the next OPD will be held at the BDF center located in Rawalpindi for the benefit of the patients.
