This uncertainty brings parents immense emotional stress—especially when they worry about their child’s future, dignity, and marriage prospects.
At the Birth Defects Foundation, we do not change gender; we only correct what Allah has created at birth. Through specialized surgeries, we help these girls develop a clear and functional pathway so they can live healthy, confident lives.
But their journey does not end with surgery.
From the day they are born, CAH 46XX girls must take two lifelong imported medicines—Hydrocortisone and Fludrocortisone—to keep their hormones balanced.
Missing these medicines can become a serious threat to their lives.
Today, the Birth Defects Foundation is providing 100% free lifelong medication to more than 300 girls, without any discrimination between rich and poor.
